my poll tells me that you want me to "submit more regularly". Since I fail at that because I tend to hold off submitting anything that I have even a remote dislike of, I decided to kick myself and submit this.
P: I'm sure you've all noticed my penchant for drawing quite idealized figures when I'm drawing anything even slightly realistic. This was inspired by 1. life drawings (I feel like once I've looked at real people for a while and then walk away my art still looks more real), and 2. a dream.
but it doesn't really do it justice. only a speed paint... (her right arm looks odd because I drew it without this bg in mind. The original idea was for her to be resting on a bedframe, which would have made the arm hang differently than having it rest on a sofa)
I absolutely love the window, that I can actually see light hitting it, but see through it as well. I like the soft look to the entire image. She has a very sharp expression in contrast to the rest of the piece; I particularly love her eyes. Critique-wise, her upperarms are kind of thick compared to her lower arms and her hands- particularly the one that's raised- are very stiff. It kind of interupts the flow and softness of the image. Her foot, too, looks kind of odd, but I'm not sure how I'd recomend fixing it, if it even needs fixing.

Thank you~ Especially for the critique. I think you're right about the arms. I'm guessing a better fix would be to actually shorten them, since I was going for a very particular body type.
I don't know if you've ever met anyone like her, but they do exist... incredibly petite, so much so that it's almost like they have a magical limit that keeps certain parts of them fixedly small. ie, As with the hands and wrists. I find unique figures so interesting!

Aww, DO EET. I like how critiques force you to be thorough... not that I've done any ;A;
Haha, the "magical limit" was a silly example P: You know how most people don't hold their weight in the same places? For instance, one person's weight goes to their bust and thighs but not their waist, while another's hits their waist & arms but not their legs. In the same way, some really petite people seem to always have very tiny forearms/wrists & calves/ankles, like this picture.

Haha, yeah sure. It wouldn't be exactly the same, cuz critiques require the ratings and all. But then your pretty face could be right there on the page C8

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
